Councils

The five councils manage the work of the pillars of our Association's mission: Advocacy, Education, Finance and Resources, Members Services, and Professional Standards. Chapter 6 of the NJPA Bylaws defines the purpose and composition of each of the councils. Each council is headed by a Chair and Co-Chair and comprised of NJPA members with an interest in the purpose of the council. Participation in each of the councils requires “attendance” in monthly one-hour conference calls either during lunch hour or in the evening. Each Council has a representative serving as a Trustee to the Board so that the council’s position on relevant matters will be heard and considered in Board action.
