S2835/A3926 Depression Screenings in Public Schools

This bill requires public schools to annually administer written depression screenings for students in grades 7-12. In November 2018 the NJPA Board voted to support the intent of the bill but expressed concerns about its implementation and will pursue a meeting with the bill sponsor when necessary. There has been no movement in either the Senate or Assembly on this bill since the Fall of 2018.
