Advocacy Victories Improving Access to Mental Health Care
With the strength of its approximately 900 members, support of its lobby firm, and in collaboration with other NJ mental health stakeholders, NJPA member advocates spent months gathering data, meeting with lawmakers and their staffs, testifying on bills, and developing educational, science-based materials to support initiatives that will have a positive impact on the delivery of mental health care in New Jersey. All advocacy efforts were successful, and millions of dollars were secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 budget to support Psychiatric Workforce Expansion in New Jersey!
